Wonder Woman’s new backstory -- as per Kevin Shepherd - is as follows:
Diana is a woman born of twinned souls. Such is their pain and cries for justice they were unique in all the Cavern of Souls. It is unknown how long these two souls from two different sides of the world were adrift until they found each other. Their desire to protect all they love melded into a new being unlike any other.
What emerged became the woman known as Diana. Who she becomes is this world's champion, the Wonder Woman.
